Nice board but too plain. I painted the marble spaces to add color to the board and added furniture slides at the bottom of the board to prevent table scratches.The board is excellent. The marbles are OK; however, they are not perfectly round or smooth. The ones that look like they are mauve are clear glass. The spacing is close; if you have large hands, you may want to get a bigger board or consider getting smaller marbles.The board is nice and sturdy. The marbles we replaced. They were haphazardly not round and uneven in size.My son and I can spend hours playing this! We are always trying to out do each other in this game. Love the thick and heaviness of the board and it's so smooth!Board:- Good quality board.- The glass Marbles fit well in the holes and stay.- Size of the board is okay, but still a bit difficult to pick from your corner when the whole section is full. The holes could be spaced further, but that would make the board bigger too.Marbles:- Color of marbles not very bright, but okay.- A few cracked/chipped marbles in the set (not broken)Overall a good board.Nice board. A little disappointed that the marbles are painted on the outside. Guess I need to find some real marbles.Great purchase! Quality wood board. Marbles are easy to grasp and move even for big, manly fingers like my husband’s. And they stay in place. The colors are pretty. Quiet, unlike the tin surfaces I’ve played on. We enjoyed our first game very much.Growing up my family had a cardboard Chinese checkers board with plastic marbles. Perhaps because of this, I never took the game very seriously until I bought this beautiful set. The wooden board has deep divots for the marbles that hold them very nicely. The marbles are a range a subtle hues that complement the board so well that I found myself leaving the game out as a coffee table decoration when it wasn't in use. The price of this product is also excellent relative to its value.Chinese checkers also offers a great middle ground as far as games. More competitive people can put as much thought into it as they want while at the same times the rules are extremely simple allowing for more casual players to partake in the same game. It can also be played with 2, 3, 4 or six players making it easy to play with whoever happens to be around.
