I bought this compass as a first compass because I felt like other compasses were harder to learn how to use with all of the extra features and what not. This one is simple, you can rely on the movement of the bezel to direct you North, South, East, West and in between, it'll tilt if it isn't quite north, south, etc. and that's because it's letting you know that you aren't fully in your direction. I tested this compass out turning 360 degrees, and it is very accurate for something so small. The fact that it can be pinned to your shirt is another plus, just make sure you pin it good enough so that the compass is facing upright and you'll be all set. I'll also be testing this compass with my smartphone compass and I'll most likely update on this.Overall, if you're looking for a simple directional compass that works, this is in my opinion, perfect. I feel it will even help in survival situations. I trust it.
